Former Chief Executive Officer of defunct Noble Dream Microfinance Ezekiel Owusu Afriyie, has broken his silence over the controversies surrounding his residential property at Atasomanso, a suburb of Kumasi.
The property has been in dispute between the defunct Noble Dream Microfinance, its former CEO, Ezekiel Owusu Afriyie; Endurance Oti Boateng and other directors on one hand and Mr. Okyem Aboagye who had acquired it by auction, on the orders of a Kumasi High Court.
On February 10, 2017, Ezekiel Owusu Afriyie filed a writ seeking a declaration that the sale of property on Plot No 8, 25th street, Atasamanso at an auction in execution of judgement of Noble Dream Financial Services to Daniel Okyem Aboagye was fraudulent.
A couple of days ago the residential property of Mr. Owusu Afriyie became a subject for litigation between Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi and Bantama legislator Okyem Aboagye.
Member of Parliament for Bantama, Okyem Aboagye, however, vowed to use every legitimate means to take over the house at Atasomanso in Kumasi which has already been sold to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party.
According to the MP, he received a Certificate of Purchase following a declaration by a Kumasi High Court on November 15, 2016.
But speaking in an exclusive interview with Kofi Agyei of Ashh FM, the man at the center of the controversy Mr. Owusu Afriyie, dismissed the claims that the house is one of the properties of Noble Dream Microfinance.
According to him, the house has nothing to do with Noble Dream Microfinance, but rather his personal property which he sold to Bernard Antwi Bosiako in 2014.
"In 2014, I sold a lot of my personal properties to different people which wasn’t in the name of Noble Dream Microfinance," he added.
Mr. Owusu Afriyie told Kofi Agyei that, he was astonished when he heard in the news that the Bantama MP is claiming ownership of the said property he has already sold to Wontumi.
He hinted of taking legal action to protect his image because the impression has been created on the airwaves that he is a con man or using fraudulent means to sell off other people's assets.

This Noble Dream CEO is a is a big time fraud that the government should investigate. After defrauding many inhabitants of the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions he went under and when he foresaw that properties that he has fraudulently acquired will be taken away from him by also self seeking opinion leaders such as the Batama MP instead of they fighting for all the customers, so again he fraudulently sold it to a guy that does not believe in formality Chairman Wontunmi. May this fraudulent Noble Dream CEO NEVER know any peace in his life. May his children's children be the epitome of curses
We are not from Britain. We don't need good English to develop. What we need is good thinking, intelligence, analytical brain and wisdom. We speak Ga, Ewe, Frafra,Dagomba, Asante, Akuapem, Fante Nzema, etc and still develop.
When people in a country refuse to follow the law and even your judges are corrupt and everyone seems to be looking for short cut then these are some of the problems that will happen. For example I was approached by a so called agent selling a filling station - This person did not even bother to check the lease and terms of the lease, obviously I sent him out of my office. As to the number of people who have encroached on our lands some of whom are supposed professional people are numerous and we have ended up pulling down their structures. The questions to be asked regarding this case are (1) Did the said business use the property as security for a loan for the benefit of the company? (2) Did the CEO use the value of the property as part of company assets at anytime prior to the failure of the business? (3) Was the property removed from company assets before it was sold and was this justified on the company accounts? If the property has been legitimately divorced from the company and has become a personal property of the CEO then on liquidation of the company the courts have no right to make the CEOs personal property as part of company assets for auction.

NPP, PROPERTY-OWNING DEMOCRACY!!!!??
I am beginning to understand why there are so many beatings re our journalists... Could it be their attempt to speak/write the English? And PeaceFM please let us know the individuals who do stories or writes or edits so some of us can directly question where they gained their qualifications...habah!!!
PIERCING THE CORPORATE VEIL. THERE IS A REASON WHY DIFFERENT JUDGES HAVE RULED IN FAVOUR OF THE BANTAMA MP. AS IT HAS BEEN SO DECIDED A FEW TIMES, IT IS DIFFICULT FOR A HIGHER COURT TO CHANGE THAT AS THE FACT MAY HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED ALREADY. IT WILL DRAG IN COURT FOR SOME TIME BUT I BELIEVE THAT THE BANTAMA MP HAS GOT 70% CHANCE. YOU SEE, COURTS DO NOT LIKE PEOPLE TO HIDE BEHIND CORPORATIONS TO EXTORT MONET OR RUN COMPANIES DOWN WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCE. IT IS AN IDEOLOGY FROM ANCIENT TIMES.
Where was this? .... has break his silence over the controversies surrounding his residential property at Atasomanso a suburb of Kumasi.' Why can't you simply write good English? haba
