Ghana is a quintessential lawless country. From the top to the bottom, the people, especially the ‘big men’ do not obey the laws, regulations or directives of the land.
Ghana Education Service has on numerous times said that it has ban all forms of corporal punishments, which mostly are plain abuse of students, at primary and secondary schools in Ghana.
In fact, even in the absence of this ban, what is done to Ghanaian students in the name of punishment cannot be justified within the borders of reason. Teachers subject students to degrees of abuse, in the name of punishment.
AfricaCelebrities.Com and GhanaCelebrities.Com have obtained a shocking video which shows a teacher beating the hell out to students of Prempeh College in Kumasi—all in the name of discipline.
The person doing the whipping, we mean the obvious abuse, is allegedly the assistant headteacher (Administration) of Prempeh College, Mr. Gyimah.
If this is how a whole headteacher treats students and flouts GES’ directive or ban on corporal punishment, how would he be able to ensure that other teaches do not do the same?
In any civilized society, this is enough evidence to pull the sack on this man.

This is far below the belt for peacefm. Whichever editor sanctioned this publication should bow his head in mortal embarrassment. First sentence and I had started nauseating. "Ghana is a quintessential lawless nation" Really?? Is it a needless lexical ornamentation or sheer ignoramus or both?
Peace fm you have nothing to wrire about eh? Nansins
***barred word***!! U beat ur kids mercilessly and report such stories Discipline is wat we need in this system
Peacefmonline should their head btn their legs and cry. This is too cheap a journalism. We Amanfo) support him 100%. Enemies no be God!
We are Blacks not Europeans, so let all join hands bring the best out of the youth today.Ask of the reason why they been corrected and don't be judgmental.i strongly support this mode correction because some students need something hot to activate change rather than verbal correction
Cheap journalism. I can't believe Peace published this.
herh peacefm gyama mu yare. u ppl have a picture of two men kissing on your site. no body is saying u should be taken down. now you are calling for the sack of a headmaster for lashing students. are u people going mad
I am glad my ward is not in this school. If my ward is treated this way, I would seek redress from the court. Let us get it. If you are working for an organisation, you obey their rules and regulations. What does GES rules and regulations say about corporal punishment? I do not call this punishment. I call it total abuse which must stop immediately. GES we are watching!!!!!!
Just shocked that this story will be published. First and foremost , rightly said , he's the Assist Head and he knows the implication of corporal punishment. He's supposed to log it and he will do so. But, if I may ask, how can you train boys without using some of these means. Without it the kids will be indisciplined. I think its very important , we know what is good for us . At that age, such discipline to time and all that is very important and that is why at University, there's no cainning.
It is ***barred word*** to bring such video out, since we don't teach our wards the right thing that is why they grow up to become burden to society now a days
