Last Saturday, founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor joined the campaign aimed at changing behaviours and attitudes towards proper sanitation and cleanliness in Ghana.
Government has instituted the first Saturday of every month as National Sanitation Day and it is for this reason, Madam Akua Donkor was seen on the streets of Accra sweeping every corner tucked with filth.
In a brief interview with her, she stated that filth is nasty and if only sickness created out of it would attack the very people who deliberately made it, I wouldnt have joined this campaign today. But if I don't help in clearing the filth, my home could be infected with strange diseases."
