The Ghana police Service has called on Ghanaians not to take things for granted as far as security is concerned.
This comes after a series of armed robbery attack in the Accra.
On Tuesday, a gang of armed robbers in a Rambo-style, stormed Royal Motors, an automobile company in Accra, making away with the company’s sales.
So far, two have been arrested.
Oyibi, a suburb of Accra has also reportedly recorded a number of robberies with residents living in fear.
In the wake of all these attacks, COP George Dampare, Director General of Operations at the Ghana Police Service has assured that they (Police) will put their lives on the line to make sure Ghanaians are protected and safe.
“We will continue to protect the citizens of this country and fight criminals with our life…we assure Ghanaians that we will not let them down”, adding “if we need to die for criminals to be dealt with, we will do it for the Glory of God” he guaranteed in an interview on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Wednesday.
According to him, measures have been put in place “to reduce crime in the country" however, "we need to be security conscious and be alert everywhere we are…anything strange should be reported and not taken for granted".
