Nick Imudia joined Nokia in 1998 and has held several senior positions within the organization over the past 15 years, including Senior Manager for Retail IT Products and Systems, based out of Singapore; Director of Consumer and Marketing Solutions and Head of Sales and Marketing Solutions.

Prior to his move to West Africa, Imudia was based in Finland as Director for the Sales and Marketing Capability Unit, a role in which he held global responsibility for all of the processes, tools and systems for the Nokia Sales and Marketing function.

In his new role, Imudia will assume overall responsibility for driving the Nokia business in West Central Africa, managing the local team to deliver on sales, marketing, customer care, logistics, retail execution and developer engagement.

“Nokia is the market leader in West and Central Africa, with a recognized and respected brand,” says Imudia. “My goal is to retain our high brand preference by serving the needs of our valued consumers.

"This will be achieved by working closely with our partners, operators, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers across the area to build a profitable business together.

"I will also build on the solid foundation we have established through our work with government agencies, local organisations and developers to enable a vibrant local ecosystem and relevant content, both across West Central Africa and in Nigeria as a focus market”.

Born in Nigeria, Imudia left for overseas studies on scholarship immediately after his high school education. He has since lived and studied in the USA, Scandinavia and Singapore, completing several degrees including an MBA from Haaga-Helia University, Finland; Master of Engineering in Oil and Gas Technology from Ålborg University, Denmark and Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Management from Mikkeli Institute of Technology, Finland. He has now returned to Nigeria and is based in Lagos.
