President John Dramani Mahama will address the nation at 7:00 pm, Thursday. His address follows the election petition verdict by the Supreme Court which upheld his election as president at the 2012 December elections.
A statement signed by the Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga noted that the decision of the Supreme Court was a victory for the country�s democracy and strengthens the rule of law.
The statement further entreated Ghanaians to accept the verdict in good faith and act in a manner that will further enhance the country�s credentials as a land of peace and stability.
�As we continue to thank the Almighty for the many blessings he has bestowed on our nation, Government humbly requests our Muslim and Christian leaders to devote Friday, Saturday and Sunday for prayers for continued peace, stability and national reconciliation,� the statement further said.
