The managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jr during a panel discussion on Radio Gold asked President John Dramani Mahama to sack his state protocol officials for allowing the General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia to wear a woman’s winter coat.
According to him, the Protocol officials should have been able to tell Asiedu Nketiah that the winter coat he was wearing belonged to a woman.
But contributing to a panel discussion on PEACE FM morning show ‘Kokrooko’, the Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jr said he disagrees with his ‘brother’ Kwesi Pratt.
According to him, Asiedu Nketia is old enough to know which dress is appropriate and which is not; hence the state protocol cannot be held responsible for his (Asiedu Nketiah) ‘fashion blunder’.
“It is a fair share of responsibility - Asiedu Nketiah cannot be excused at all. If I am to choose, I will rather spare the state protocol officers and deal with Asiedu Nketiah” he said.
