The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo is rallying prospective voters to go out and register in the limited registration exercise.
Persons who have attained 18 years and could not register during the last registration have been given an opportunity to get their names on the voters register ahead of the November 7 polls.
Nana Akufo-Addo in a Facebook post said the registration is a “first step towards change” and has therefore pleaded with first time voters to ensure they have their names in the register.
“The Electoral Commission commences the limited registration exercise today. I encourage you to ensure that your name is registered if you are a first time voter.”
“I also encourage you to encourage your friends and families to ensure that their names are registered. The registration exercise runs from 28 April to 8 May. Let’s take the first step towards change. Let’s get our names registered.”
