Audio Attachment: Listen to Kweku Baako Jnr. |
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has jumped to the defence of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Charlotte Osei; claiming she's being made a "target of scrutiny".
Kweku Baako, commenting on the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', called for thorough investigations into the EC allegations but however would not fault Mrs. Charlotte Osei for responding to the allegations for the basis of her impeachment.
According to him, it was right for the EC Boss to have responded to the EOCO queries (same as the petition forwarded to the President) and set the records straight.
He opined that if Madam Osei had refused or failed to respond to the EOCO queries on the accusations by some concerned staff of the Commission who had also petitioned President Akufo-Addo and the Chief Justice to impeach her, the same public castigating her now, would have quizzed why her loud silence on the issues raised.
Kweku Baako explained that the critics lambasting Mrs. Charlotte Osei for making certain revelations through her responses on the issue were the same people who had believed the claims by the EC staff against her.
To him, the critics thought Mrs. Charlotte Osei is a "woman made of steel. She is an iron. There’s no blood flowing through her, so she should remain silent whilst those saying she should have been silent, they themselves were out there discussing. And when you listen to some of them in terms of their tone, they have believed the allegations. They’ve found the woman guilty already.”
Mr. Baako stressed that he is "on the side of Charlotte. Yes but fortunately, for all of us; I am not the final arbiter. That’s why I’m saying there should be investigations and verification. I am nobody. I cannot actually determine the outcome . . . I’m not a coward. I’m on her side.”

Kweku Baako and Anas dealt mercilessly with supreme court justices and other senior judges because they are not his relatives. Koto do3 nebo jw3! Charlotte is your relative so you are mounting spirited defense for her and damning all the other commissioners. They are also human with relatives, ok? This shows how "fair and objective" you claim you are. I guess others were not born like your Charlotte, So they can be crucified for you to live. FIRE BURN YOU and your Charlotte. NONSENSEEEE!!
Everything shows those accusing her eenvy her position. They saw themselves favorites but they missed it and so they never gave her the needed respect she deserve. Is a shame on the petitioners.
what kind of system is this if somebody steal a goat he goes in 10 years and if an important person does something he goes scot free.are all ghanians not the same.
Kweku your Cousin Mrs. Osei is just too Arr0gant, Incompetent and Corrupt . This one kweku you can't save her .
Kwaku Baako has no choice than to support her.He said the petitions has no leg to stand on and now that the the allegations has been confirmed by the lady herself he has to choice than to do the obvious.
Kweku, you can be on her side but the accusations and counter accusations going on in the media by commissioners of no less a body than the Electoral Commission is a disgrace to the institution she leads and the country. As a leader, I expected her to know better and should have been silent until she had been given the opportunity by the appropriate authority to respond to the allegations. If at all, she wanted to respond, she should have been measurable in her response. Portions of her statement together with that of her lawyers put out in the media are indefensible. The leadership position she holds require that her actions and attitude should be impeccable. However on this occasion and others in the past she failed miserable.
Say you support your Cousin, blood is indeed stronger than water .
Of course this is typical "Ahenfie-Democracy" on "Nanacracy". You want to stage a coup against your boss or whoever? Just gather as much filth as you can about the person, add a few facts here and there then find someone who is close to the Ahenfie , a lawyer, a staffer, the accountant etc etc. Then let the Oyeame tell the Chief the "real" intention of why you want to remove the person and voila. You are gone. There is absolutely no hope in hell for Ms Osei now. Next targets: Bawumia, Allan Kyeremantin, Ibrahim Mahama, etc etc
i agree with you intoto my baako, why are Ghanaians lambasting mrs osei as if she is a crinal. that women is right and she will win all her case am on her side. Madam Osei God is with you, your enemies will fall flat.
Kweku, you are a seasoned Journalist, please don't put your credibility on the line for anyone, humans are subject to change. position or power eludes people and take from them humility power always corrupt.
