The parliamentary aspirant for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, Delali Kwasi Brempong, says his house is not a ‘warehouse neither does he owns firearms'.
‘I have no evidence of firearms in my house,” he told the Emile Short Commission, Wednesday as monitored by Peacefmonline.com.
His comment comes on the back of remarks from the National Security Operatives that they received intelligence that firearms were being kept in a warehouse close to the Bawaleshie electoral area.
“My house is not a warehouse . . . It’s a seven bedroom house with offices . . . I have received calls that they said you had a cache of firearms . . . I put on record that in my life I have never lawfully or unlawfully acquired firearms . . . I am a pharmacist by profession and I will have no business acquiring firearms. I am yet to know why men . . . should come to the house of a civil pharmacist to wound innocent supporters who have actually come to support me in a by-election,” he indicated.
