Ghana striker Asamoh Gyan has finally taken the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The captain of the national team received several nominations including a few from teammates.
The Ice Bucket Challenge is growing in popularity across the globe, with public figures and celebrities leading the charge against Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Those who take part in the ice bucket challenge are required to film themselves dropping a bucket of freezing water over their heads, before donating a small amount of money to their chosen charity.
They must then nominate three friends to do the same within 24 hours. Those who foreit the challenge must donate a larger sum of money to a good cause.
In the video, Gyan can be seen in a bathroom having ice cold water poured on him.
He goes on to nominate Floyd 'Money' Mayweather, his idol and blurts out some words in Arabic.
