The African Hockey Federation (AfHF) has saluted the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Ghana 2009 for successfully staging the just ended championship.
A letter of appreciation from the AfHF signed by Nii Quaye-Kumah, Honorary Secretary General of the African Federation said " the President and members of the Executive Board wish to thank you for hosting a splendid event, a magnitude never witnessed in the history of the competition in Africa."
The statement commended the LOC for achieving such a feat, stressing that "We are proud to be associated with this event." "African Hockey is proud of your achievement and look forward to another opportunity to work with you." The ninth edition of the Africa's plum competition for her nations, spanned July 10-18 in a championship which involved four countries, Ghana, South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt in both men and women categories.
