The unrest within the New Patriotic Party has been incessant; if care isn�t taken a ticking �bomb� would finally explode if allowed to countdown to zero. Mr. Andy Owusu, a staunch member of the party informs Peacefmonline.com that some national executives are plotting to expunge the names of Nana Akufo Addo and Dr. Bawumia from the register which the party would use during the special delegates conference. This information filtered in hours after some unknown thugs besieged the party�s headquarters and caused mayhem during a press conference being organised by the National Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong. Andy Owusu pleaded with the national executives not to materialize this machination and warned of the likely repercussions it will have on the party. According to him, the current NDC government was messing up things and wondered why the National Executives were �frustrating the very person (Nana Akufo Addo) from redeeming Ghanaians from wretchedness�. �This isn�t the first time such a plot has come up. Before the Tamale congress, they tried doing this. A letter was written to the National Elections Committee but in the end their petition was ignored," he claimed. Instead of spending time and resources fomenting internal troubles, Mr. Owusu advised that it would be profitable to rather demand their regional chairmen and secretaries do a proper collation at polling centers before the Electoral Commission comes out with theirs. �The registration exercise has been concluded and from what we learnt at the Supreme Court, elections are won at the polling station centers. We expect our national executives to press on all the regional chairmen and secretaries to present a proper collation sheet before the Electoral Commission come out with theirs�, he said.
