To Hell With General Secretarys Directive NPP Guru

To some New Patriotic Party [NPP] communicators, the recent directive from the partys General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, that they need official clearance before they speak on behalf of the party in the media is nothing but a load of rubbish. Kwabena Agyapong, who incurred the displeasure of scores of NPP fanatics following his unilateral directive to Deputy Communications Director, Perry Okudzeto to proceed on his accumulated leave, gave the edict on Wednesday in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi that non-accredited NPP communicators must cease from holding brief for the party in the media. Speaking on Peace FMs flagship morning show Kokrookoo, Kwabena Agyepong who disclosed that he is now the partys Communications Director, albeit in an acting capacity, stressed that henceforth, his office will appoint and approve who speaks for the party on any radio station. This directive, he insists, is part of measures aimed at streamlining party structures. But Central Regional First National Vice Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Joe Donkor, has rubbished the directive. In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, a clearly riled Joe Donkor asked Kwabena Agyapong to burn the sea if his soul wish. To him, if that rule is allowed to stand, then all the regional executives will become useless. To hell with his [Kwabena Agyapong] directiveswho does he think he is? So must the person far in some village call him every day before he or she talks for the party? My foot! If that is the case, then we must all cease from talking and see the party [NPP] remain in opposition till thy kingdom come, he fumed.
