Mr Paul Afoko, Chairman of the main opposition party in the country, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has alleged that the thugs who created commotion at the party�s headquarters on Tuesday, were from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). According to him, he was informed that the irate youth were members of the ruling National Democratic Congress, who had been hired to execute a hatchet job against the NPP. But speaking in an interview on Peace FM's �Kokrokoo�programme, the General Secretary of the NPP told Kwami Sefa Kayi that the hooligans were from the NPP and not the NDC. He said he can identify all of them because some are body guards of known kingpins in the NPP. �I saw bodyguards of very senior officers of the party involved in the attack but it is important for us to respect ourselves. All these things are plots from people who have vowed to frustrate our work; that is the agenda they have set ever since we were voted into office and even before the election, they were against us and that is what is showing. The grand machination started long ago,� he intimated.
