Nana Has Disintegrated NPP ...Says Alans Girl

FORMER MEMBER of Parliament for Kwadaso and the Ashanti regional campaign director for Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, Josephine Hilda Addo has revealed that the disintegration within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) started in 2008 when Nana Akufo-Addo was elected as the flagbearer of the party. According to her, some leaders in the party prepared list of people they wanted to work with based on who they voted for, which she said, had brought the division into the party She was of the view that voting for Mr Kyerematen to lead the party in the next general election was the only way to the perceived crisis in the NPP. In interview with the DAILY HERITAGE, she said When we are selecting people throughout the country, be it regional or national, Alan never produced a list asking people to vote for him. Alan is giving the implication that he is prepared to work with everybody in the party, that is the sign of a leader we are going to get when we vote for Alan, and he is going to bring the party together, she stated. Mrs. Addo who is also the former member of the Pan-Africa parliament intimated that that Mr Kyerematen stands tall among the other two presidential aspirants of the NPP due to his experience and track records and he has something to do for the country. She added that the party had lost four of the regions which they won under former president John Agyekum Kufuor and expressed fear that they could lose more if the right person is not chosen. We are losing votes in the Ashanti region which is supposed to be our stronghold and it is very dangerous if a party loses vote in its stronghold, she reiterated. Mrs Addo further appealed to the delegates to elect someone who will win back the votes and lead the NPP back to power in the upcoming delegates congress. We know that Ghanaians are looking up to us, and I know come 2016, Alan will lead the NPP back to power and will make Ghana a better place to live, she noted.
