Nominated running mate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has shown appreciation to the elephant fraternity and the party�s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo. According him, he is much honored by the nomination bestowed on him as he called all to rally behind Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo�s ideologies to win power for the NPP. Bawumia took to Facebook hours after his nomination to express his gratitude and vowed to work tirelessly for the party to win power come 2016. �Today the National Council of the NPP approved my nomination as Running Mate to Nana Akufo-Addo for the 2016 Presidential Election. I am most grateful for this rare privilege,� he said. Adding that, �I thank Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP for this honor. I view this as a call to duty and service once again. I pledge to continue to work with all concerned to support Nana Akufo-Addo and the Party in prosecuting an effective campaign and strengthening the party to ensure that we emerge victorious in 2016, God willing. Thank You for the support�. Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Thursday, October 23, booked his running-mate for the last two elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Dr. Bawumia was the running-mate for Nana Addo in both 2008 and 2012 general elections and many political analysts says he would be the best fit, considering his political maturity over the period and depth of knowledge about the country�s economy.
