Greenstreet's Statements Are Reflective Of CPP's Position - Samia Nkrumah

Samia Yaaba Nkrumah, the Chairperson of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has defended the General Secretary of her Party for lashing out at the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). According her, every word Ivor Kobbina Greenstreet uttered was discussed and agreed by the leadership of the party and therefore reflects the position of the party. we agreed on the statement he read and it is understandable that my General Secretary was blunt because he said it in the backyard of the NDC We just took the opportunity to tell the NDC to tell the NDC in the face that they are not Nkrumahists because he would have handled the economy differently. He would not agree to the Plant Breeders Bill the CPP Chairperson said on Joy FM. These comments were in defense of Ivan Greenstreet after he lashed out at the NDC and President Mahama, accusing them of poor, regressive leadership. When he was called upon to deliver a solidarity message at the ongoing National Delegates Congress in Kumasi, Mr. Greenstreet seized the opportunity to fire salvoes at the party for poor performance in government, which according to him, was making life unbearable for Ghanaians. "You have decided to use it to share your Christmas gifts Ghanaians are watching you and continue to do what you want, we know what to do when the time comes," he added.
