The Communications Director of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has asserted that there are interpretations regarding the results which are going to be announced as they will determine the future of the NDC in the 2016 elections. Speaking on Peace Fm, Owusu Bempah predicted that Portuphy will win the chairmanship to spearhead the election rigging machinery as his expertise will be needed at the forefront to lead the party for the 2016 crucial elections. �Portuphy will win the chairman position because he will spearhead the election rigging machinery. He has been doing it from the background and now it is a crucial make or break for the NDC. It is make or break for the NDC and so they will need somebody who is an expert in how to manipulate in the rigging strategy. They need somebody like Portuphy who has been on the background and to come into the forefront to lead the party for the 2016 elections,� he asserted. �Definitely there is not going to be anybody but Portuphy will win the chairmanship and I am telling you because I know what I am talking about. I used to be a member of NDC and so I know what I am talking about. Our elections in the past, we know some people in NDC who are strategists,� he added. He however alleged that the choice of the NADMO boss, Kofi Portuphy and Kofi Adams into these strategic positions are intended by President John Mahama to please the founder of the party, Former President Rawlings as these two personalities appeal to the founder. He insisted that Kofi Adams is the walking stick of former President Rawlings who President Mahama smartly wants to use to convince his party founder that the party has been revived as that will help to tame Mr. Rawlings from his boom speeches. �They want to please former President Rawlings and so they will vote for Kofi Adams; and also to keep him shut from his boom speeches so that they can go ahead and do whatever they want to do. John Mahama is smart to go for Kofi Adams who is close to the former president; he is the former president�s walking stick and so if we make him part of our team it will help to appeal to the founder. Portuphy one way or the other appeal to the founder and so these two personalities will be used to convince the founder that the party is being revived to go forward,� he narrated.
