Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cut short his visit to Europe following the untimely demise of Mahama Adams.

The late Mahama Adams was the Upper East Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party.

He was attacked with acid on Wednesday, 20th May, 2015 by two assailants and gave up the ghost the day after at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

For this reason, Nana Addo arrived in the country on Friday 22nd May, 2015 to give Adams Mahama a befitting funeral.

Nana Akufo-Addo together with the minority leader in parliament, Osei Kyei Mensa-Bonsu and a host of other top party executives were all present at the funeral.
