Gov't Yet To Take A Decision On Black Stars Bonuses - Sports Minister-Designate

Minister-Designate for Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Asiamah has debunked news making rounds that the Akufo-Addo government has settled on $10,000 dollars with the senior national team, Black Stars as winning bonus.

According to him, the government has not reach any decision on the amount to be given to the management team and the Black Stars as winning bonus as being speculated on various media platforms.

Speaking to UTV Sports news anchor, Anim Addo, Hon. Isaac Asiamah emphasized saying “Government has not taken any decision on the Blacks winning bonus and so it is strange to hear that some people are saying the government has settled on $10,000 as winning bonus.”

He however wondered the intent of the people trying to pin the new government which is barely 10 days old in power to the issue of winning bonus; assuring that his government will come up with a decision which will benefit both the nation and the Black Stars team.

The senior national team, Black Stars are in group D at the 2017 AFCON.

They won their first game against Uganda; topping group D in the ongoing tournament in Gabon.
