Frank Okpeyen Is Our Man!...Evalue-Gwira NPP Rally Behind Constituency Secretary

The entire constituency executives of the Evalue-Gwira Constituency in the Western Region have started rallying support for their Constituency Secretary, Frank Okpeyen for the MCE position, even before the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, publicly announces who should serves as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE)  of the  district, the New Crusading GUIDE can report.

Acting Vice Chairman and Patron of the party, Michael Nokoe, together with three other executives who travelled all the way to Accra to make their voices heard told this paper in an interview yesterday, that if the President is nominating anybody to serve as the MCE for the area, he must not look anywhere than at Frank Okpeyen because he is the only person that would be accessible by the people.

"We are of the view that Mr. Okpeyen must be given the nod since he really deserves it and has worked hard for the party. We the executives of the constituency are in support of our constituency secretary, and so are the grassroot.  We therefore believe that when he is given the nod it will do the party a lot of good," he stated.

The NPP executives observed that the development of every area depended mainly on a competent assembly leader and that the only person that can help President Akufo Addo’s development agenda for the area to come to reality is Mr. Okpeyen and no other person.

Making a strong case for their Secretary, Mr Nokoe indicated that Mr. Okpeyen is a reliable person who believes in democracy, saying that he (Mr. Okpeyen) had in many ways demonstrated his commitment towards the development of the area and the party.

"The area has come of age and all the people need is development so the incoming MCE must be one that has the ability to bring development to the area and not one that does not know her left from right,” he opined.

Mr. Okpeyen, the NPP Executives said, is a native of the area and has in his entire life lived with the people and therefore knows their challenges better than any of his contenders.

For instance, when the party was in opposition, and during the 2016 elections, Mr. Okpeyen solely devoted his time and money for the party when it was in opposition, saying that he (Mr. Frank Okpeyen) deserved to be honored with the MCE position.

The appointment of the Constituency Secretary, Mr. Nokoe argued, would brighten the party’s chances in the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Nokoe therefore declared the party’s executives readiness to partner with Mr. Okpeyen when appointed as MCE, to help achieve his developmental goal for the people in the area.

Mr. Nokoe was accompanied to Accra by Obed Carlbrew, Isaac Kwesi Davis and Enoch Nyankson, all executives of the party in the area.
