Okyenhene Takes Delivery Of Customized Kantanka Vehicle

The Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has suggested the need for government institutions to begin to use vehicles manufactured by Ghanaian engineering firm, Kantanka Automobile Company Limited.

According to the overload of Akyem Abuakwa State, government must purchase some of the Kantanka vehicles to institutions such as the Ghana Police  Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Immigration Service among others to use instead of spending huge foreign currencies to buy expensive foreign made vehicles for those institutions.

This, he said, will not only create jobs in the country, but also help grow the Ghanaian economy.

“Government can buy a whole lot for the Police, Fire Service, the Immigration Service among others instead of importing Land Cruisers of $130,000 and $140,000 when we can purchase it at $35,000 locally of which repairs and maintenance can be done by same local firm ” He said in local language .
