No Amount of Money Will Stop Floods; We Need To Change Our Attitude - Kokofu

Former Member of Parliament [MP] for Bantama constituency, Henry Kwabena Kokofu has said the preventive measures of flooding must start from the citizens and not the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) or any President.

In an angry tone, the former MP affirmed on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme that “Ghana’s flooding is intentional and until we do what we know will prevent the flood, we will continue to suffer, since our actions cannot stop the rains”.

To him, there is no state institution that is adequately financed to udertake projects just like NADMO, but with the little given, through discipline the state will achieve its target.

According to him, if Ghanaians decide not to litter anywhere and keep the environment clean, the country will be the best place to live in.

He added that keeping our environment clean without the supervision of any authority and also actively involving in communal labour should be our priority to achieve our target results.

To him no amount of money given to NADMO by government will solve the flooding or filth problems if we refuse to change.
