Sefa Kayi Graduates From Kofi Annan Int'l Peacekeeping Training Centre With Executive Masters

Astute Broadcaster and host of the Peace FM's Flagship programme "Kokrokoo", Kwami Sefa Kayi has graduated from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) with an Executive Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace & Security (EMCPS).

The KAIPTC in collaboration with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) held its 7th joint graduation ceremony at KAIPTC auditorium at Teshie on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with over 90 students graduating this year.

Several leading members of both current and previous governments were part of the ceremony for the following programmes; Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace and Security (MCPS), Master of Arts in Gender, Peace and Security (MGPS) and Executive Master of Arts in Conflict, Peace & Security (EMCPS).

In a statement, the Commandant of the Centre, Air Vice Marshal Santrofi Griffiths Evans stated the programmes seek to equip Africans with the highest professional knowledge and standards in conflict prevention, resolution and management, mediation, negotiation, peace brokering and security management to respond to the emerging trends in peace and security across Africa.

The Centre honoured some outstanding students during the graduation ceremony.

On behalf of the graduates, Chairman General, Kwami Sefa Kayi and friends presented three projectors to the Centre.

The KAIPTC also launched its maiden Journal of African Peace and Security (JAPS), the first journal to be published by an ECOWAS Training Centre of Excellence (TCE) in West Africa.

Nana Kobina Nketsia V, the Paramount Chief for Essikado Traditional Area was the special guest of honour for the ceremony.
