Gov’t Completes 21 Day Schools

THE PRESIDENT Nana Akufo-Addo Government has within two years completed about 21 of the 200 Community Day Senior High Schools.

Former President John Dramani Mahama introduced the Community Day High Schools Programme in 2012.

It took Mr. Mahama about four years to complete 29 of the 200 Community Day Senior High Schools.

According to the Education Ministry, it has together with the GETFund conducted an assessment of the status of all Community Day Senior High Schools and out of the 200 schools promised by the previous government, 29 had been completed at the end of December 2016

The Ministry said “an additional 21 have been completed between Jan 2017 and now.”

DGN Online understands that currently, 74 E-blocks which are at various stages of completion, are being evaluated by consultants and will be completed in due time.
