The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), lawyer Henry Nana Boakye known as Nana B has blamed the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia to be the brain behind the shooting at the NDC office in the Ashanti Region.

According to him, Asiedu Nketia should be blamed for all the problems in the region due to his partial leadership of sidelining the substantive executives of the Ashanti Region and subsequently creating his own regional executives who will champion the course of former President Mahama to win the upcoming Presidential Primary.

Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that there are two alleged factions in the Ashanti Region between Joseph Yamin and the NDC Regional Chairman, Nana Kwasi which according to him, Mr. Nketia has taken side with Yamin who lost the chairmanship race in the region; hence the anger of Nana Kwasi's supporters.

He reiterate that Nana Kwasi is the Chairman, but Asiedu Nketia still recognizes Yamin as the Chairman of the Ashanti Region.

"He does not recognize the substantive Chairman Nana Kwasi, and his supporters too are not taking it lightly hence their anger," he said. 

He therefore condemned the attack and asked the various state authorities to see it as a criminal issue, ensuring the culprits are apprehended and brought to the law books for justice to prevail.
