Families of Kidnapped Girls Threaten To Sue Daily Guide

The families of the three kidnapped girls in Takoradi have threatened to sue the Daily Guide newspaper for reporting that the kids have been found and are receiving treatment at a hospital in Accra.

Speaking on Citi Eyewitness news, spokesperson for the families, Micheal Hayford Grant said the families are already traumatized hence there's no need to create false hope or further heartache and anxiety with a 'false report'.

The Daily Guide on Tuesday reported that the girls, Ruth Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie have been rescued. (click to read)

Meanwhile, the Police administration has denied reports that the three missing Takoradi girls have been rescued.

In a statement on its official Facebook page, the Police Service said: “the attention of the Police Administration has been drawn to a report in the Daily Guide edition of Wednesday, April 24, 2019, titled ‘T’di Girls Rescued’ and wish to state that the report is false.”
