The Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has allayed the fears of Ghanaians about saving their monies in the bank.

Mr. Buabeng Asamoah urged the public not to lose confidence in the security of the banks with regard to their deposits stressing that the banking crisis has been resolved under the current administration.

According to him, President Akufo-Addo and the government has improved the banking sector hence there is no cause for alarm.

Contributing on Peace FM’s "Kokrokoo", he reaffirmed that “the system has been restored. It is strong enough and people must have confidence because the current system will take care of your deposit"

"Akufo-Addo’s government is responsible enough to restore confidence and trust back into the banking sector…but those who did not do their job well leading to the collapse must be punished. AG and EOCO must see that the law take its cause…I believe they are working but they should let us know where they have gotten to because Ghanaians are interested…We should all thank God that the banking crisis is over,” he stated.
