Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) on Monday opened its 155th branch at Dansoman in Accra, with the corporate focus on online banking and bringing of its services to the doorsteps of its clientele.
Ms Joyce Attakorah, General Manager in charge of Banking Division, said the largest indigenous bank established in 1953 had spread its services to areas where it was not making profit and where other commercial banks had previously not dared to go.
She said the bank stood faithful to its customers and spread throughout the country without discrimination.
Ms Attakorah said all branches of the bank are networked and called on aggrieved customers to approach management for redress to their problems and desist from settling their predicaments in the media.
Mrs Aku MacBruce, Area Manager of the GCB said the planting of a branch at Dansoman was because the bank was not afraid of competition and ready to expose its numerous products and services to the people.
Some of the services include electronic banking, cash management, money market operations, money transfer and letters of credit.
The public was introduced to the 'Kudi Nkosuo' account, which makes room for especially traders to deposit small amount of money as savings to attract loan facilities to improve on their businesses.
