GT Bank will transfer the managing director of the bank in Gambia to head its operations in Ghana. The Gambian MD, Mr. Olalekan Sanusi has been approved for the position following the resignation of Dolapo Ogundimu from the Bank.
According to sources close to the bank, Mr. Sanusi will soon resign from his position in Gambia, following processes to transfer him to Ghana.
Before his redeployment to Gambia in February, 2006. Mr. Sanusi was the head of corporate planning and group coordination at GT Bank Plc. in Lagos, Nigeria.
While occupying this position, he was responsible for managing the bank�s on and off shore investments in other organizations.
When he eventually takes over in Ghana, there will be huge expectations to replicate the success of his predecessor, leading the bank to win Best Bank of the Year award on two consecutive occasions.
