The Chief Operating Officer of the Melcom Group of Companies, Mr. Avinder Singh, says contrary to some perceptions about the nature of their business, 98% of their work force are Ghanaians.

Speaking at a recent Press Soiree, he pointed out that Melcom Group of Companies have the interest of Ghanaians at heart and as a result, ensures that they employ majority of Ghanaians to reduce the unemployment rate in the country. He said these workforce which also include the disabled, undergo training to acquire skills in dealing with customers, with customer satisfaction as their priority.

we have close to 20,000 customers walking into our doorsteps daily and for that reason, there is the need to delight the customer and make sure that their expectations are met, he said.

The Public Relations Officer of Melcom Group of Companies, Richmond Oduro-Kwarteng, on his part added that for the customer to have value for money especially as inflation is going down in the country, they have introduced a promotion called inflation buster.

According to him, the promotion will afford their customers the opportunity to purchase a lot of things with just a small amount of money. He also indicated that the promotion will have 0 to 50 per cent reduction of items depending on what the customer buys and it will be from the 1st to 15th of August.

we realised that the only way for the reduction in inflation to reflect in their pocket is to give them something very good, something for real money so we decided to introduce the promotion called inflation buster which means stretching the cedi. Stretching the cedi means we are giving you the opportunity to have lots of goods using little amount of money. This is our way of saying a big thank you to Ghanaians for being part of the Melcom group of companies and for patronizing our products, he said.
