The governments of Ghana and Equatorial Guinea and have agreed to cooperate in energy and agriculture after officials of both countries met in Bata, Equatorial Guinea�s largest city and commercial capital.
A statement issued by the Equatorial Guinea government said President Teodoro Obiang Nguema met with Ghana�s special envoy, Bebaako Mensah.
The Ghanaian delegation also met with the Minister of Mines, Industry and Energy, Marcelino Owono Edu, and others to establish relations between the two countriesďż˝ oil and gas sectors, the statement said.
It adds �the Ghanaian government wishes to establish cooperative relations with Equatorial Guinea in the exploitation of oil and gas.�
Both parties also signed a memorandum of agreement on agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the company Sidalco Ghana Limited.
