As part of measures to ensure that unemployment rate among the youth within the Western Region is reduced drastically, government has provided start-up kits for 33 youth who underwent training in mobile phone repairing.
The beneficiaries who were taking through eight months practical training were selected from Tarkwa Nsueam and Prestea Huni/Valley constituencies.
Presenting the items to the trainees, Danladi Salifu, Tarkwa Nsueam National Youth Employment Programme Coordinator said GHC33,000 was spent on the start-up kits.
Mrs Christina Kobinah, Municipal Executive Chief, assured the people of Wassa Fiase Traditional Area that the Assembly is well prepared to do all it can to equip the youth with employable skills.
