Samsung Electronics West Africa has officially launched the new Galaxy S5, Gear Fit and Gear 2 in Nigeria.
The classy and star-studded Samsung Galaxy S5 Premiere Lagos, 2014 event took place at the plush International Hotel in Nigeria on Wednesday April 16 2014.
The Galaxy S5 premiere event attracted Samsung partners, media men, celebrities and Samsung Directors from different parts of the West African region. The event was hosted by Nigerian Samsung brand ambassadors Actress Kate Henshaw and Banky W and various Samsung executives including COO of Samsung Electronics Africa Headquaters, Mr. Brovo Kim President of Samsung West Africa, Jaspreet Singh, Business Leader for Handheld Device, Samsung Ghana, Emmanouil Revmatas, Director for HHP Business, Samsung West Africa among others took turns to explain the countless unique of the new sophisticated Samsung Galaxy S5.
Other celebrities including Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas, veteran Nigerian actor Victor Olaotan aka Fred Ade-Williams of Tinsel fame, Nigeria comedian Seyi Law and others respectfully endorsed the new Samsung Galaxy S5.
The device is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and has features such as an upgraded 16-megapixel camera, new fitness tracking features, a heart rate scanner, and dust and water resistance.
Other features include an integrated fingerprint scanner at the home button, thus providing consumers with a safe, biometric screen-locking feature.
Samsung Galaxy S5 introduced the world to new features like a groundbreaking camera, an accelerated network experience, brand new power saving modes, plus three new wearable devices � the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit � there is so much to get excited about.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Gear 2 Neo
Another new wearable device is the Gear 2 Neo, which features a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED screen and is incredibly lightweight, weighing only 55 grams. It�s the perfect choice for those who prefer an accessory that is a little more discreet and subtle.
It comes with a range of changeable straps and interface themes that can be easily customised, letting you create your very own style, with a choice of colours including Charcoal Black, Mocha Grey and Wild Orange.
Other great improvements include the new battery, which lasts between two and six days depending on usage, and the increased connectivity with devices.
The newly-unveiled Gear 2 also gives you greater control over its look and feel, as well as more functionality. It showcases a new lighter design, with the 2MP camera now located in the screen. The two new wearable devices can also help with your wellbeing, offering personal fitness coaching in real time. You can create your own customisable fitness routine and even monitor your heart rate while you exercise.
Other cool features include a stand-alone music player that connects to a headset via Bluetooth, as well as a handy WatchOn Remote app for controlling your TV and set top box.
