From Monday, July 7, sachet water will be sold at 20 pesewas instead of the current price of 15 pesewas.
The price of a bag of 30 pieces of sachet water moves from GHC2 to GHC3.50, according to a statement signed by Mr. Magnus Nunoo, President of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP).
It explained that the increase was necessitated by the high cost of inputs and other overheads.
The statement said the increase, which would affect all sachet water produced nationwide, was to ensure that producers were able to stay in business in the face of the current economic difficulties.
It appealed to the public to cooperate with NASPAWAP following the price increase.
