Private companies risk being deleted from the Registrar General Department (RGD)records early next year.
This follows calls by the RGD to companies especially the sole proprietors in the country to renew their names.
In a media briefing the Ghana’s Registrar General Jemima Oware said ‘’ Sole Proprietary companies who failed to renew their business names before the close of the year, will have them rendered inactive in the RGD’s electronic database from 2nd January 2018.’’
Business who will fall victims to this condition will find it difficult to effect any change or update information on the e database system will practically have to re- register their companies.
The Registrar General Department had already issued a directive that all business who had defaulted in filing their tax returns to do so before April 2018.
