The Bank of Ghana has taken a significant decision to withdraw the Kwahuhene and President of Kwahu Traditional Council, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II as the Board Chairperson of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB).
BoG announced the withdrawal of Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II in a letter signed by the Head of banking Supervision Department of the Bank of Ghana, Osei Gyasi.
Portions of the letter read, "We refer to the recent petition to the Presidency by one Mr. Collins Darkwah Aboagye alleging improper conduct on your part as the Board Chairperson of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and subsequent publication of the same in the media."
BoG, according to the notice, expects an immediate stepdown as Board chair of ADB.
