A Lot Of Mediocrity Is Killing The NDC

The NDC for the past three years since its assumption of office have not on a single day see peace in its quest to deliver better Ghana agenda to the people.

Though the government is doing quite well to provide a better place for Ghanaians, there seems to be too many inexperience communicators for the government who instead of focusing on what the government is doing, they are rather concentrating on how to spill political venom on the founder of the party.

First, it was Mr.Owusu Obimpeh, the Ashanti regional chairman of the party at the Peduase Lodge where president Mills met some members of the party to discuss about his regional tour, Obimpeh said former president Rawlings is no longer a political force within the NDC and in the political history of Ghana. Mr. Obimpeh having soon forgotten where Mr. Rawlings brought him from into the party with such alacrity and distasteful comments is today receiving his full share from the KMA mayor.

Another NDC loose talker the so called general mosquito, who have gradually gained notoriety for making derogatory comments against the man who have founded a party for which he is a general secretary. I am totally disgusted that Mr.Aseidu Nketia can compromised his reputation and stand so low that even after making such invectives will be running from one media house to another for his comments not to be given media publications. I am very convinced that Mr. Aseidus penchant comments have motivated some elements within the government who are just a mere opportunist to speak to the founder of the party the way they do.

Oh! I just remember, Mr. Okujeto Ablakua, though most of us will want to see you develop as a great politician one day, the recent posture you have adopted will surely sink you into the drains. How on earth can you sit in your comfort on a national television and describe the founder of our party as an old man sitting in a corner and directing people and that the former first lady is suffering from psychological problems? The question is what were your roles as a student activist to promote the interest of the NDC? Are you a spokesperson for the government or the NDC party? For you to regain the respect and admiration people had for you, I think in my candid opinion, you have to apologise to the Rawlings.

This advice is only to enable you grow in politics should the current president under who you serve today decided to retired from active NDC politics. I must be frank with you, though I dont agree with the Andani youth on the ground that you made those comments about them because you are Ewe, I think it was totally unwarranted and unnecessary for you to make such volatile comments. In other jurisdictions where the party in government is much concerned with maintaining its majority votes in an election, you may have been sacked for making such daunting comments when you obviously known that it could cause the party in terms of its electoral fortunes since this Dagbon issue was a major campaign issue we all used during the 2008 general elections unless you were not part of the campaign.

Mr. Baba Jamal, did I hear you said the NDC did not promise to find the killers of the late Dagbon overlord? Why then was it necessary for us to promise to conduct an investigation into the murder in the first place. I think we should be learning from NPPs mistakes which lead them into opposition by now.

Mr. President, I think it is about time for you to mend up your relationship with the founder of the party of which you are now the leader. Many people who are disrespecting the founder of the party today, are doing it deliberately because they know if they do, they will be seen as your loyalist and therefore will continue to maintain their positions. I must add that, anyone who is telling the president that everything is well and that the people are ready to sacrifice as we collectively did in 2008, may be leaving in a fools paradise since I can confidently say that the party is suffering a serious trauma now because of the manner in which president Rawlings is been handled.

I will end it once again by saying that, it is not too late to bring ourselves together and the earlier we sit together and resolve our differences the better for the future of the party and the government. Mr. Party chairman, do your work and bring your members together now!
