A chimpanzee can be enameled with the best of clothes imported from Italy but that would not in anyway change its true nature.
Dress up a goat in silk woven in India, bring Gucci shoes from Europe, perfume it with a fragrance made in Paris, the vicissitudes of time would whisk away these fine materials, leaving the goat standing naked.
The passage of time, very much often, exposes the bare facts to the world, and this analogy soundly describes the Kwame Nkrumah Inter-change (Dubai).
Mr. John Mahama thought beautifying that rickety of an interchange with powerful lights which illuminate the entire edifice when darkness falls would take away the defects therein.
For political expediency, the project was rushed through its construction. No major drains were constructed to wheel away water during rainfalls.
The skies above let down their tears yesterday, and this, for many reasons, should come with good luck. Rains are heartily embraced especially when the weather we live with has proven to be unfriendly.
Just 30 minutes of rainfall last night and the most beautifully built edifice in the whole of West Africa, Circle Dubai, gets flooded simply because the government at the time decided to do a shoddy job when constructing the interchange.
Despite its huge size in terms of the cost of construction, Circle Dubai, the Paris during the night, the New York City when night falls, is but a slummy precipitous edifice which exudes pain to the many who live close to it.
Blame the old wine who wants to bottle himself in a new wineskin (John Dramani Mahama). He indeed, caused financial loss to Ghana!

THE PLACE WAS ACTUALLY BEAUTIFUL UPON COMPLETION,BUT WAS DELIBERATELY NEGLECTED BY THE NPP GOVT AND AS USUAL IT IS MAHAMA'S FAULT.
Am seeing people defending the indefensible, why should we a nation like ours, sink a whole lot of money into a project that will cause us pain, why don't we do for once a project without defects and problems do we always have to get a percentage of every project by inflating and stealing from ourselves, the June 3, 2015 rains came lives were lost the previous was in power why did't they fix it and now you are blaming someone for a shoddy work. why cant the truth be spoken
I quote "P.K. Sarpong, Whispers from the Corridors of the Thinking Place" thinking place indeed if this is your level of thinking then no wonder we are where we are as nation including the so called ***barred word*** people who put this story up. ***barred word*** come again when people dump refuse into the gutters and it get choked where do you expect the water to flow too and what kind of proper emergency systems do we have in place. Who says this things don't happened in the foreign countries it does happened but because they have proper emergency systems in place they are able to reduce some of the casualties. Let's tell our president and his ministers to give us an effective proper emergency systems.
Just use your competence to fix it to prove that you are really competent.
This is indeed a confused mind. You at a point agreed it is a beautiful edifice (Just 30 minutes of rainfall last night and the most beautifully built edifice in the whole of West Africa......). Governance is about continuity, what have you done to add to its beauty knowing the skies will not stop crying. Big Big English and you think that will solve the problem. Fix what you can and give way to KOFI GANE to come help us . We are tired and sick of this type of politics. Thinking the downfall of your neighbour will automatically put you on top of the mount. Shame
We hate our country so much that we don't do anything that will give us peace. I understood this so called construction was done by the previous administration. Ask yourself if the right thing was done, will this place be flooded all the time? please don't allow politics to destroy our beloved country. Sometimes, be sincere to yourselves regardless of the party you loved.
Pure ***barred word***! Over two years in government and you are still blaming the ex govt???? I'm highly disappointed!!!!!
The dont get it NPP is losing it and they have not realised but i am happybthey are going this way
This is article is ***barred word*** & waste of time. Irrespective of what the previous Gov't did or left behind, What has this NPP Gov't done with the past 2 years to to improve the situation, or save human life, after all it's Ghanaians who are adversely impacted
Desperate people looking for something to discredit the great :circlr Dubai"!! Show us one gutter you have built in three years!!! Even desilting gutters is a challenge for you!!! WHO AT ALLLL ARE YOU???
