Ghanaians have become accustomed to NDC's lies and propaganda when it comes to dealing with economic data.
The people have learned how to winnow exaggerations and mendacious claims from verifiable facts.
The Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at the Ashanti Region Town Hall Meeting used empirical data to downsize NDC's claim to having achieved a lot economically when they were in power.
Economic growth rates, over the past three years, have been among the fastest globally, and this, he supported with data. The Vice President wasted no efforts to remind the NDC that their best has been our worst.
This delivery by the Vice President laced with unimpeachable facts has left the NDC groggy. Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen show with Philip Osei Bonsu as the host, found himself wanting.
Felix, when asked to dispute and to present counter facts to what Dr. Bawumia presented, only came up with the same old, mundane and unreliable 14% growth rate Ghana achieved under their watch.
The NDC communicator insisted that that figure is the best in Ghana's history and the Akufo-Addo led team can never reach that milestone.
Felix forgets to tell us that that growth rate they have been touting was procured due to the oil President John Agyekum Kufour discovered in commercial quantities and which were mined when the NDC came to office.
If that feat was achieved as a result of some magical work or effortful performance they put in, why didn't we have a suatained or continuous growth rates in that same region?
That one-off huge growth rate was artificial, at best since it could not be replicated in subsequent years. More importantly, why bequeath a paltry 3.5% growth rate to Akufo-Addo if they were better managers of the economy?
This is all they can do. You would never get NDC communicators speaking to figures but digressing from topics and inventing voodoo figures and making funny juxtapositions.

The worse thing to have happen to Ghana in the recent times is npp lying to win power and steal and engage in corruption, lies, tribalism, nepotism and and many more
BAWUMIA IS STILL LEAVING IN A DREAM LAND.FOR GOODNESS SAKE BOOK ECONOMICS DOES NOT RULE A COUNTRY.ALL THE ECONOMIC FUNDAMENTALS AND STATISTICS HE'S GIVING IT'S NOT REFLECTING IN THE LIVES OF THE ORDINARY GHANAIAN LET ALONE THE ECONOMY. GHANAIANS SHOULD REASON UP AND STOP BEEN POLITICALLY BIASED.ABOUT 90% OF GHANAIANS ARE CRYING FOR ECONOMIC FREEDOM AND HERE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A SPEECH DAZING SOME GROUP OF PEOPLE.WE WANT SOLUTIONS TO OUR FREE FALLING CEDI. ALL THE SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY IS DOWN.
Facts cannot be disputed. NDC never campaigns with Economic indicators. They used Yaa Naa's death, Ede Bii Keke, name calling to win power in 2008. Their weapon in 2020 is Corruption, Nepotism, Cancellation & Review, now Galamsey but none is having impact. Times are really hard for the NDC
... animmmal and buuush
The best thing that has happened to our political system is the politics of intellectual engagement. It used to be in this country when the campaign message of the NDC was that the elephant is a bad ***barred word*** that destroys people's farmland. As recently as the 2012 election, it was "keeping the elephant in the ***barred word***". How things have changed, people! The worse nightmare of the NDC is this type of intellectual engagements. It unsettles them and rattles their political base. You still see the attempt to pull us back into the old ways of doing politics, where their strength lies. But it's too late. The country has moved on, and the NDC will soon be history.
Aaaaahhhhh, dazed the NDC? Even Sammy Gyamfi, a non economist has rubbished the trash that was fed to the people of Ashanti!!!
