This week marks the 30th anniversary since the first HIV blood test became available.
According to experts, pioneering treatment for the disease has make huge progress, with those living with the condition able to live long, happy lives.
HIV expert Dr Gerald Schochetman, of Abbott Laboratories, says: 'HIV testing and treatment has come so far. It's now very treatable, although not yet curable.'
