Two persons have been 'mistakenly' killed by hunters in the Eastern region due to poor visibility caused by the rains, it has been reported.
A statement issued by the regional Police Command, which was referenced by starrfmonline Friday, said the hunters claimed they fired after noticing the shaking of plants.
The Police in the statement asked the hunters “to desist from indiscriminate discharge of firearm to avoid instances where innocent people are killed or harmed due to hunters firing without the expected diligence or carefulness,” Starrfmonline reported.
The Police also cautioned the hunters to exercise the greatest care and diligence to avoid such killings, the report added.
The release is said to have been signed by Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, the Public Affairs Officer of the Command.
