A baby girl, believed to be a few days old, was found dead on the Tema Motorway on Monday afternoon.
The body appeared dehydrated, with termites all over, especially in the nose and ears, and had been bitten all over with blood stains on the white cloth she was wrapped in.
The Ashiaman District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Seth Tay, who confirmed this to The Ghanaian Times, said at about 3pm on Monday, the police had information that a baby had been found on the Tema Motorway.
He said it was found dead around the Tema Community 22, and it was not clear how old it was or who the parents were.
He appealed to the public to assist the police to apprehend the culprits.
