The Ghana Oil Palm Development Company (GOPDC), has donated 40 bags of cement and 20 packets of roofing sheets valued at about 27,000 Ghana cedis to the people of Atobriso, near Asuom in the Kwaebibirem District.
This followed an appeal to the company to help repair a Kindergarten block that was badly damaged by a rainstorm.
Alhaji Bashiru Manu, Acting Director of Agriculture who presented the items on behalf of the company, said GOPDC was helping communities in its catchments areas to improve the quality of life. He said the company readily responded bearing in mind the usefulness of education for a brighter future and urged them to use the items for the intended purpose. The GOPDC officials also presented 10 bags of cement and five packets of roofing sheets to Koka, a nearby community, to help for the building of a clinic.
