The students of Simms Senior High School at Faade Mamponteng in the Kwabere East District of the Ashanti Region have boycotted classes to protest over inadequate water supply.
They are also threatening to embark on a demonstration if the problem is not solved immediately.
According to reports, the few boreholes in the school have run dry leading to untold consequences on the students numbering over 2000.
The students are now reportedly lounging in their dormitories during class hours.
According to them, the school authorities are aware of their troubles but have turned a blind eye to it.
The students said what triggered the action was when two students were almost knocked down by a vehicle while on their way to fetch water.
