The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana Legon, Prof. John Gyapong, says inadequate office space, laboratory and funds have hindered research and capacity building in the country's universities.
He has therefore appealed to government for support to enable the universities to perform their duties diligently.
He was speaking at the sixth directors meeting of the African Institutions Initiative funded by Wellcome Trust, a charitable organisation.
