Deputy Minister in Charge of Tertiary Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has expressed worry over the low representation of National Service persons in the private sector.
He said as it stands the private sector employs only ten to fifteen percent of graduates, such a percentage, he said is not encouraging.
Speaking at this year's stakeholders conference of the Ghana National Service Scheme in Accra, Mr Ablakwa encouraged the private sector to do more to engage graduates to help curb youth unemployment in the country.
Mr Ablakwa asked the Scheme to come out with a project where National Service personnel will come out with their own business initiatives which will be part of National Service.
These projects developed by the service personnel according to him should be supported.
