The Executive Chairman of the Radford University College, Nana Dwomoh Sarpong, has reiterated the commitment of the university towards the welfare of the community within which it operates, and beyond.

He said as good corporate citizens, the university will always give back to society as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Nana Dwomoh was speaking in Accra ahead of a health screening program jointly organized by the university college and the Keepers House Chapel international..

Students drawn from the medical laboratory department of the university assisted other health personnel to medically screen residents around the Pentecost junction area in Madina, and its environs, of several conditions.

Dr. David Mensah, chairman of the first anniversary planning committee of the church who led the medical team, advised patrons to be mindful of their food intake and should also exercise regularly.

He also counselled patrons to routinely go for medical check-ups in order to know their health status at any given time.

He said check- ups help detect, and pre-empt hidden conditions.

Residents who thronged the forecourt of the church where the screening took place, had frequently asked, health-related questions, addressed by the team.

Patrons were screened for hepatitis B, malaria, and blood pressure, among other conditions. They were also given non-alcoholic beverages and fed to their fill.

Residents who benefitted from the program, commended the Radford university college and the Keepers chapel for the free, life-saving health screening program exercise.
