The Ministry of Education says it has set a committee to investigate the interdicted headmistress of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Senior High School (KNUST SHS), Ms. Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa and the circumstances leading to the unfortunate demise of a student.
The Ministry’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ekow Vincent Assafuah told NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that the outcome of the investigation will be made public.
Ms. Dankwaa has been accused of negligence by her students after the death of a student at her school on Tuesday, 7th July 2020.
According to the students, their deceased colleague, who is believed to have had ulcer, fell ill and was not attended to adequately by the school authorities for multiple hours.
They believe the authorities feared he had contracted coronavirus and left him unattended to until he died.
Vincent Ekow Assafuah told host Mac Jerry Osei Agyemang that leadership from the Education Service has met with the deceased parents to console them.
